Through the Mountain: Flowey x Reader Ch1

In the distance was the mountain that you so wanted to discover. The rumors circulating the giant landmark didn't scare you. This was an adventure that needed to be had! Taking the climb one step at a time you felt determined to find out what was so ominous about it. It wasn’t until you tripped and fell did you start to regret this endeavor. Falling face first you covered your visage expecting a hard landing. A soft impact left you surprised. Looking at your surroundings you found you had landed in a pile of yellow flowers. Looking up there seemed to be a lone flower in the distance slightly wilted as if it had been deprived of the light shining down that the others were basking in. Slowly standing back up you approached cautiously, for some reason this flower intrigued you more than finding the way back to the surface. The flower seemed to move as if a breeze had blown down from the other way. Although that didn’t seem possible since it was looked to be a dead end filled with rocks that had caved in.

“Leave me alone,” a quiet voice said. At first you didn’t realize it was the flower and thought it was that mystery wind. Getting closer to the flower you reached out a hand. “I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE!” this time you knew it was from the flower. Shocked you fell backwards and looked to see a face in the center off the plant looking at you with fierce hatred.

“What’s the matter?” you asked.  Still a little scared, you thought best if you didn’t show it right now. Whatever this thing was he did not really look like he wanted to be alone. It was as if he was alone for far too long.

“I thought I said leave me alone! I chose to stay down here. Now I wish I went with the others,” he sighed.

“What others?” you scooted closer.

“Monsters, there was a time when monsters were trapped down here. A fallen human had come and set them free. It’s been so long now. The door leading to the rest of the Underground got sealed off when an Earthquake hit. Now I’m the one trapped forever and in one room. The room where I first met them.  I’ve grown weak for some reason. Could I be losing my determination?” the flower drabbled on as if mostly talking to himself. You reached over slowly and pet his petals. Surprise appeared on his features.

“Don’t ever lose your determination! I’ll help us out!” you suggested.

“Are you stupid? There is no way you can move those rocks! If I hadn’t been weakened when I first came here I’d have done it myself or gone under. Now look at me. I can’t even move into the sunlight!”

“I’m sorry,” you pouted.

“I don’t want your pity!” the flower screamed.

“I still have to try though,” you ignored him and moved to the pile of stones. With all your might you began pushing on one of the biggest boulders. Using your legs you pushed your back against it only for the dirt to drag and you to fall once more.

“Told you,” the flower sneered. Getting up you tried again, this time from the front pushing while anchoring your shoes in the soil. Slightly it moved. With more effort it didn’t take long then a rumble shook the room. Quickly you ran out of the way as more rocks fell down leaving a gaping hole.

“Now come on!” you said just then realizing you had no way of bringing the flower with you. His petals were crossed as if he were crossing arms.

“Really, I already told you I’m too weak!” You thought of something. Digging around with your hands you found the end of the flower’s roots and lifted him up carefully from the ground. He struggled pushing his flowers on your hand. “Let me go!”

“No, because we’re getting out of here and you’re going to show me the way!”
